Thank you from Good Sheperd Food Bank of Maine
Dear Friends,
Thank you for joining our community of loyal and generous donors. It has been heartwarming to see so many Mainers coming together to help as we respond to the spread of the coronavirus, and I’m glad that it’s connected the Food Bank to new donors like you.
Especially in times of crisis, the meals that result from your donation let struggling Mainers know that they are not alone. To the senior who can no longer risk going to grocery store, or the child who has lost the only meal they could count on every day, to families struggling with lost work, your donation is a reminder that their neighbors see their struggle and want to help.
Your donation means there are systems and programs in place to help people experiencing hardship get back on their feet. In this time of social distancing, your donation is critical form of connection.
Since the pandemic first hit Maine, I’ve known that the Food Bank would keep food flowing to those facing the greatest need, and that we’d do it with the generous support of donors like you across the state.
On behalf of all of us at Good Shepherd Food Bank, our more than 500 partner agencies and the more than 200,000 Mainers we serve, I thank you for your generosity, confidence and friendship. We are honored to have your partnership in the fight to end hunger.
With gratitude,
Kristen Miale President
